Oba Otudeko, who hails from Oyo State was born on the 18th of August, 1943.

Oba had a business-oriented background as his mother was a businesswoman. He started his education at St. John’s School, Oke-Agbo and proceeded to Olivet High School, where he got his School Leaving Certificate.

Upon leaving School, Otudeko worked at Cooperative Bank as an accounts clerk, before proceeding to study at the Leeds College of Commerce.

Oba began his career at the now defunct Cooperative Bank in Ibadan and rose to the position of General Manager and acting CEO.

He later founded Honeywell Group in the 1970s, which has grown into a diversified conglomerate with interests in food manufacturing, oil and gas, telecommunications, financial services, hospitality, and real estate.
